Another throwback to the portland post (I was working on three things at once!) is this table that I just finished up. Here she is before:
Now, I had a lot of ideas for this. Especially because of the drawer having those diagonals. But in the end, I stayed true to the fact that I've been dying to do my first glaze job for a while now, and this was going to be it. I'm happy I did, the table came out a great color, very shiny, and well here it is:
I don't know which I like better, the drawer or the stripes. Very fun little table and is up for sale in the shop. Have a great day!
I realize I'm late to the party on this, but I've seen this nightstand all over Pinterest. Do you remember what shade/brand of paint this was??? Will you share? I'm dying to paint a little table I have this same color, but can't find such a pure purple.
ReplyDeleteHey Juli! I believe it was called "Grape Freeze" but it was a long time ago, and I want to say Behr. Sorry I couldn't help more!
DeleteThanks for such a quick reply, Jess. I searched grape freeze on Behr, and while I didn't find that exactly, it DID help me find a couple of purples that look like they might be close (esp grape parfait). With the samples now, it makes life so much more fun, and I don't have to worry about twenty-dollar mistakes.
ReplyDeleteThe table is actually a two-tier oldie that I've had forever, and had no use for. It was headed to the garage and my cats were just climbing all over it. I had fashioned some steps out of boxes (the earlier attempt making steps from concrete forms was not a hit), and I realized the table would be perfect as a cat step to the top of a small bookcase (appletini green) that sits under their favorite window in my office. Since I'm redoing my office in purples and lime/apple/celery greens, this purple was PERFECT. I realize in seeing those colors on screen, I'm going to have to name my home office "Fruit Pizza."
So glad I stumbled onto your informative blog. Your kitties are gorgeous and you guys have made such a wonderful home!
