So in the spirit of patios & decks, I thought I'd toss around some of my favorite vertical gardening ideas for today's Pinterest Picks. I really should consider getting a set blog schedule, so Pinterest Picks and other reoccurring posts would be on a reliable schedule, for now it's on an as-I-feel-like-it schedule, it's more fun that way! All the pictures you're about to see are also links to the pin, so you can pin your favorites too. First up (and what sparked this theme) the wooly pocket:
Have you seen these yet? I love them! I think I even saw them at Home Depot already. You used to only be able to get them online. Check them out, a soft black pocket attaches to the wall, indoors or out, and you just fill it up with beautiful plants. Next up: Defying Gravity Pots
This one is interesting, right? I'm sure you'd have to water fairly regularly (as with most pots) but the effect is really neat! When I first saw the picture I couldn't figure it out, but after hopping over to the original source (she posted a tutorial!) I smacked my head - of course, rebar! Now that I look back though, you can sort of see it in the picture... oops :) Next up to bat: Coffee Cans
This one has a more modern feel in my opinion, and it looks great. Plus, a water saver! I can imagine a cluster of these, all different colors, with herbs just pouring out of them. So many ideas! Up next: It's a shoe-in
Ha! Cause the shoes... get it? So cheesy, I'm sorry. Honestly I have mixed feelings about this one. I could see it, working out, with little lettuces etc.. but I'm not completely convinced. I imagine it getting all dirty... maybe it's a 2-3 time use type of thing. What's your take on this? Last up: Succulent Walls
This immediately reminded me of that tutorial I shared a while back (seen here) on how to make a framed wall planter. This succulent one looks great, and guess what? It's a link to a collection of even more ideas over on Country Living. The fun just never stops, huh? Well that's all I've got for you today, maybe I should jump off this computer and actually go DO some of these outside. What about you, thinking of taking your gardening to the next level? Haha - I couldn't help it. Have a great one, enjoy your summer!
